Responsibilities:
Physical Therapist Assistant provides quality therapy services by assisting the Physical Therapist with the treatment of patients in order to restore them to their prior level of function.The Physical Therapist Assistant also must follow required guidelines.Individually designed programs of physical treatment are carried out to maintain, improve or restore physical function and alleviate pain in patients; appropriate and timely documentation of patient s prognosis, treatment, goals, and response; education to stay informed on treatments and techniques to benefit the patient; establish and maintain channels of communication with nursing team and therapist.Assist with appropriate interventions (such as oxygen therapy via standing order) as necessary for patient safety.Comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.Perform routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation.Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of patients.Demonstrate appropriate social skills including effective verbal and written communication.Demonstrate ability to follow direction.Respond to study participant s procedural-related inquiries by providing appropriate information.Job Type:
