Position Summary:
Increase division sales and profits managing product line through the entire product life cycle.

At the discretion of the division, this position may not include supervisory responsibility.
Mange timeline for engineering development, direct efforts of supplier quality team, articulate
clear concise value proposition. Manage the efforts of less Senior Product Managers to
prioritize tasks and meet responsibilities as outlined below.
Essential Functions:
Manage entire product life cycle. A few major aspects include:
Developing business case in determining new product expansion. Include ROI
analysis for any capital and development costs.
Identify unmet market needs and provide clear product performance specification to product development team.
Develop clear operator training to ensure safe use of all products. Present product
training to field sales, customers and end users.
Provide market based pricing recommendations to guide pricing team
Conduct competitive analysis of product lines.
Conduct periodic market evaluations, VOC, focus groups as needed to develop
business plans and product strategies.
Identify profitable opportunities to increase value to end user and customer experience.
Look for and direct cost reduction and other opportunities to drive operational
Support customer service and sales to provide premier customer service.
Accompany and assist field sales as required
Lead timely response of technical questions
Lead team efforts to address customer concerns with prompt and timely
communication, develop root cause and corrective action
Support field sales with information on products and application.
Identify and lead efforts with cross functional teams including customer service, operations and
marketing communications:
Articulate brand positioning statement to provide clear direction for messaging through entire organization including marketing communications, sales, customer service, operations and sourcing teams
Develop and revise product literature, catalogs, technical bulletins etc.
Facilitate exchange of information between engineering and field sales management
Recommend minimum initial safety stock levels required to hit forecast spikes during initial product roll out based on market size, ramp up speed and replenishment lead times.
Support the Winovation process on large scope new product line development when appropriate, participate in or lead new product platform development teams
Participate in industry standards committees, reviewing professional publications to keep the company informed of latest industry trends.
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Marketing, Business or Engineering.
5-7 years of related experience in product marketing and marketing strategy.
Up to 30 % travel. Occasional weekends may be required for international and trade show events.
Strong computer skills (Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office applications)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others typically acquired through five or more years of increasing experience and responsibility including prior leadership and/or program management role.
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving / resolution skills and a team focus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
