Responsibilities and Qualifications
Serves as liaison between patients and hospital staff; assists patients in understanding hospital services, and in obtaining solutions to problems and concerns. Oversees/supervises the MOB greeter and the ED patient representative. Assists hospital Ethicist in patient education of Patient Rights/Living Wills. Assists with patient satisfaction process. Oversees and assists with patients obtaining lodging at the Mercy Lodge.
Because you're committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That's why you'll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in healthcare related field.

  • Experience: Excellent human relations and oral/written communications skills.

  • Other: Knowledge of patient care, patient problems, and handling conflicts. Ability to interpret documentation on medical records. Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Star, PowerChart)

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.

  • Preferred Experience: Healthcare Supervisory experience; experience in data analysis and interpretation preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
